The 2006 Ryder Cup is being held September 22-24 in Kildare, Ireland where Team USA will challenge Team Europe. Total RF will produce the event using RF Central's Camera Mount Transmitter (RFX-CMT) to capture the prestigious tournament for broadcast on NBC. This will be the first time Ireland has hosted the bi-annual event, which will take place on The Palmer Course at The K Club. Total RF has produced the event for NBC since 1995 and will supply over 45,000 feet of fiber, RFX-PAINT Camera Controls, receivers, microphones, technicians, Fan Beam Antennas (RFX-BEAM), and RFX-CMT's to bring Ryder Cup coverage to the United States.
Total RF was in Greenville, South Carolina over the Labor Day weekend (Sep 1-3) for the 2006 USA Cycling Pro Championship. RF Central's Camera Mount Transmitter (RFX-CMT) was in use transmitting from motorcycles on the course to a helicopter above. The production efforts by Total RF using RF Extreme™ equipment captured the event that aired on OLN on September 10th and 11th.
You can count on seeing more of RF Central on the trade show circuit. RF Extreme™ equipment was demonstrated at Expo Telemundo (August 8-11), PAB Engineering Conference (September 7) in Hershey, Pennsylvania, IBC in Amsterdam (September 7-11), and SBE's BOS-CON 2006 in Boston (September 13). RF Central representatives provided live demonstrations of the Camera Mount Transmitter (RFX-CMT) and Rack-Mount Receiver (RFX-RMR) at these events. In the coming week, look for RF Extreme™ at the 34th Annual SBE22 Broadcast and Technology Expo, September 26-27 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York, where our full line of RF Extreme™ products will be on display.

Product in the Spotlight
The most common word used by clients to describe the
performance of the RFX-RMR-X6 6-way Diversity Receiver
after a demonstration is 'Amazing.'
Offering up to 6 antenna inputs and utilizing Maximum Ratio Combining, the RFX-RMR-X6
surpasses single input receiver capabilities to create a single robust signal by
reconstructing the COFDM signal from the inputs of all the antennas. This receiver
is well suited for urban central receive sites where widespread coverage is required
with no steerable antenna. The RMR-X6 has already proven itself in major cities
such as Boston, Memphis, San Francisco , and Harrisburg. Contact us for a
demonstration and you can see for yourself how amazing this product is.
