Jim's Bio:
Jim Malone has been in broadcasting since 1976, working at WCAU-TV, KYW Radio and Total RF. Considered an expert
in the use of analog and digital microwave transmission systems for TV production, as well as news and fixed link
applications, Jim pioneered the first use of a 2 Ghz COFDM in a live event (1999 America's Cup). He has a BSEE degree
from The University of Dayton and studied at Drexel University. As Vice President of Total RF, he developed the first
use of COFDM in the NYC, Boston and Chicago Marathon's eliminating the need for analog helicopter repeaters. An Emmy
award winning NATAS member, Jim is well known among broadcasters as being the most knowledgeable person in this field.
